Excel has built-in styles for both text and graphic content in order to quickly format data, charts, and tables. Those shortcuts can shave hours off a task at crunch time.
A re-visioning of current workbooks can be especially advantageous when reports and charts built on a dynamic set of data (which often include external databases) are regularly or frequently presented to a firm’s client base. If the worksheets can be designed in such a way that they can be PDF’d directly from Excel rather than copied, pasted, and formatted within another target application, it can bring significant time savings.
